Iran films to go to Zimbabwe filmfest

A lineup of Iranian films has been set to go to a film festival for women in Zimbabwe.

The 17th edition of the Zimbabwe International Women Film Festival will host seven films from Iran.

The Iranian films to go on the Zimbabwean screen include feature, short and documentary films.

‘Salto’ directed by Maryam Haddadi, ‘Leprosy’ directed by Ali-Mohammad Eqbaldar, ‘Doll House’ directed by Reza Golchin, and ‘Online Purchase’ directed by Qasideh Golmakani are in the Iranian lineup.

‘Blindness’ directed by Navid Nikkhah-Azad, ‘With Me’ directed by Morteza Qeidi and ‘Endless?’ directed by Maryam Zahiri-Mehr are also on the list.

This is the first time that Iran is taking part at the Zimbabwean event with such a number of entries.

Last year, Iranian films ‘Painting Pool’ by Maziyar Miri and ‘Gold and Copper’ by Homayoun Asadian went on screen at the film festival.

The 17th edition of the Zimbabwe International Women Film Festival is slated for September 3-10, 2018, in Harare.
